Based in Mayville, Michigan, Wilkinson Solutions was founded in 1948 and has been engaged in the production and sale of purposely produced based calcium chloride solutions since inception. We are a family-owned business committed to our customers and community by providing safe, natural products that won't hurt humans or the planet.
Our brine is outstanding for ice/snow melting, dust control, tire-weighting, and more due to it's high-concentration of naturally occurring calcium chloride. Unlike oil-based products that have an unpleasant odor and leave residue, our products don't contain hydrocarbons, BTEX, or solvents.
We are located in the small rural community of Mayville, which is nestled in the heart of Michigan's Thumb Region. It’s our small-town, rural values that have taught us to hold integrity in the highest regard and drive us to be of service to our community. WHEN WILL YOU BE ABLE TO DO MY JOB?
We strive to be onsite as soon as possible after confirming your job. If you have a specific event, it’s best to schedule it as soon as possible. Our busy season is between May and June, so the sooner you schedule your job the better. That way, we can serve your needs as we are typically at least a week out during that timeframe.
HOW LONG DOES IT TYPICALLY TAKE TO GET MY JOB DONE?
It depends on the size of your job, but it's typically in the 15-30 minute timeframe. We’ll contact you before we arrive to coordinate the details.
HOW LONG WILL THE DUST CONTROL LAST?
One application on driveways and parking lots is typically enough for the season. Additional applications may be necessary for certain conditions such as private roads and high traffic areas. We recommend discussing your job with our experts so we can help develop an application plan that provides the best value and results.
DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
We prefer cash or check so we can continue to provide our partners with the best value. We do accept credit cards but there is an additional 3.5% fee for the service.
DO YOU DO DRIVEWAYS?
Yes, we do.
DO YOU HAVE CUSTOMER PICK UP AVAILABLE?
Yes, we can fill everything from 55-gallon drums to semi-tankers.
DO YOU SHIP BY RAIL?
Yes, we have an onsite loading facility and a fleet of railcars to service our partners. We can also accommodate customers who prefer to use their railcars.
DO YOU DELIVER TO CANADA?
Yes, by truck and rail.
HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?
We apply products throughout the State of Michigan. We deliver products throughout the US and Canada.
HOW MANY GALLONS DO YOUR TRUCKS CARRY?
We are unique in that we have a diverse fleet of trucks designed for all types of dust control. If you have a challenging job, contact us and we’ll form a plan to bring the right equipment to get the job done.

IS IT BETTER TO APPLY THE PRODUCT BEFORE OR AFTER THE RAIN?
Liquid calcium chloride works best when the soil is moist. We have best practices that dictate when we can apply products concerning rain events, and we’ll work with you to ensure the best results from your application.
WILL IT HURT THE GRASS IF IT GETS ON IT?
Calcium chloride is not good for grass. Depending on the level of exposure, it may turn brown and possibly die. We have equipment that is specifically designed to minimize overspray and runoff because of this concern. Our experienced team means you’ll have a professional application that kills the dust and not your grass.
